The Large Letter
Tiles in Box One are great for instructing students in kindergarten
and first grade who are beginning to read and for
teaching struggling readers of any age. The Large
Letter Tiles are designed for whole class or large group
instruction. Kindergarten teachers use the Large Letter Tiles
to teach capital letters, matching upper and lower case
letters, and alphabetization. The red vowel tiles help
students learn their vowels and that every word and syllable must
have a vowel. First grade teachers and those working with
struggling readers use the tiles to show spellings for words with
short vowels, digraphs, trigraphs, blends, inflectional suffixes,
and silent e.
